![]() ![]() It also came with a steady rest, which should come in handy with a 4-1/2' bed Unfortunately just the three jaw chuck came with it I'll be getting a 4 jaw before too long. I can't stand em (PITA to get on-center), but they'll work until I can put a quick change tool post on it. It came with some tool bit blanks, a couple of tool holders, a parting tool, a knurling tool, and a few lantern style tool posts. Surface finish is garbage because I suck at grinding tools I also turned a few threads but didn't get any pictures. I really need to tear it down for a thorough cleaning and oiling, but I couldn't help but make a few chips first: If you turn the motor on (or seriously reef on the spindle) in this condition it almost always results in broken back gears. It's so easy on this lathe to engage the back gears with the bull gear pin still engaged, which locks the spindle. No broken gears either, which is amazing for a school owned lathe. But the ways are pretty flat and not too chewed up, and it all works. ![]() ![]() It was a high school lathe, so the carriage isn't in great shape (had a run-in with a chuck by the looks of things). ![]()
